Dear Neighbors,
The board is beginning to work on our annual meeting and is soliciting volunteers who wish to be on the ballot and serve on the 2017 board.
As a self-managed association, our board consists of four officers (President, VP, Secretary & Treasurer) and four at large directors. Your time commitment will vary depending upon the position you seek and any additional committees you serve on. You should be able to devote 3-4 hours per month, serve on one or more sub-committees, and plan your activities so you can attend and participate in our monthly board meetings.
To be eligible to serve on the board and be included on the ballot, you must be an “owner of record” AND have not been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude (e.g. dishonesty, fraud, deceit) within the past 20 years. “Owner of record” means that your name is on the deed to a property in our subdivision and the deed has been recorded in Harris County.
Please submit your interest in writing (indicating the officer or at large director position you seek) in one of the following ways by September 30, 2016. Please include your phone number in case we need to contact you.
If you miss the September 30 response deadline, you can be nominated “from the floor“ at our annual meeting. However, you will need to be verified as an owner of record at the meeting in order to be added to the ballot.
