Fire Extinguishers

Q. Does the fire department recharge fire extinguishers?

Q. I have a very old fire extinguisher and I’m not sure if it works, what should I do?

A. The best thing to do is buy a new extinguisher. It is well worth the investment and they are not all that costly. You can purchase them at local home improvement stores.

A. Only about 15-20 seconds once you begin dispersing the agent.

Q. When is a fire too big to use an extinguisher?

A. When a fire is bigger than YOU, DO NOT attempt to put it out. Get out of the area and call 9-1-1.
